Bali is one of these places that after you've been there once, you may just want to stay forever - or at least find a reason to come back, like a Pilates or Yoga retreat ;-). Maybe its Bali’s tropical beauty, maybe the friendly people, the laid-back lifestyle, or maybe even the influence of the gods and spirits that live in this place.
Bali goes under many names. Some call it the ‘island of the gods’, others Shangri-La. The ‘last paradise’, and the ‘center of the universe’ are more names attributed to this truly beautiful island paradise, inhabited by a remarkably artistic people who have created a dynamic society with unique arts and ceremonies.
Choice of location, for us, is one the most important factors when it comes to deciding on where to hold the next retreat. When I visited the Desa Seni in 2010, I was, to put it short, immediately in love! The Desa Seni is a unique eco-friendly village resort full of charme and energy. It will flavor our retreat with an authentic Indonesian experience through the exploration of culture, art, yoga, organic farming and complete wellness.
You will stay in original antique bungalows perfectly situated overlooking the lush rice fields in the Canggu/Seminyak region, a ten minute walk/bike ride to the beach. Each bungalow has its own rich history and has been completely restored and refurbished with modern amenities and original artifacts and antiques reflecting true Indonesian culture and heritage.
From the friendly welcome, to the spa, to the gorgeous gardens, to the large pool all the way to the views from the veranda of your own luxurious village house, it's just one of these places that is hard to ever forget.
Oh, and did I mention the beautiful outdoor teakwood yoga studio that we will be practising in...?

When was the last time you took a whole week just for yourself?
Surrounded by palm trees and endless beaches, I think that Bali is the perfect spot to 'find a deep connection within yourself'. In this week-long retreat we
will experience and explore this inner connection through different methods
of awakening the mind and the body.
Through Pilates we will access a deeper understanding of our body, through Yoga we will focus our minds. Rolfing will be a new experience for many and you will be surprised (just as I was when I first discovered it) just how "deep" you can go...
