BASI PILATES MAT TEACHER TRAINING. BECOME A PILATES TEACHER. ANATOMY. WORKSHOPS. WORKOUTS. FRIENDSHIP. INTENSIVE TRAINING. SOLID FOUNDATION.
BECOME A PILATES TEACHER!
About the Training:
Programme & Structure:
We offer an immersion programme that includes 8 days of training with online course work to follow up. Each day will build up on the previous one and students must be present for the full length of the retreat.
The first days (Modules 1-3) will build the foundation of your teacher training and includes basic anatomy studies, Pilates history and principles, BASI block system and the full Mat Pilates Beginners and Intermediate repertoire.
During the final days (Modules 4-6), we will learn and study the advanced Pilates mat exercises and bring all the elements of teaching Pilates together. We will discuss the ‘business side’ of being a Pilates teacher, work on intelligent class design and incorporate plenty of practice teaching with valuable feedback to make you a confident teacher.
After completion of all Modules you will then start practising in ‘real life’ and complete the standard teaching, observation and practice hours required to receive your official BASI Pilates teacher certification. Whenever you feel ready, you may take your practical exam at a designated BASI host location of your choice.
In order to accompany you through your apprenticeship after the retreat, you will be given bi-weekly homework consisting of observation hours, teaching practice and some written assignments. Your teacher will provide feedback and consultation time via skype and e-mail.

Each location brings their unique charm and we would be happy to assist you with specific questions about each location.
You will be responsible for your own flights and travel arrangements from/to the retreat locations, but we will be happy to help arrange local transfers between the airport and retreat venues.
