When was the last time you took a whole week just for yourself?
Surrounded by bamboo forests and ricefields, I always thought that Bali is the prefect spot to 'find yourself' - the 'core' of your being. As a Pilates instructor I mean this literally (and you will feel it...), but as I've experienced myself over the years, we also need to reach for synergy between the mind and the body.
It is the Pilates that drives me, it is the Yoga that grounds me. It is the connection between the two that completes me.
Through daily Yoga and Pilates, through Ayurvedic knowledge and inspired by the people of Bali, Kishan and I hope to share this experience with you.
An exercise-focused programme with room to play
Below we've outlined a typical day during the retreat. Depending on the planned and optional activities (lectures, excursions, massages, private classes, enjoying the pool) this routine will vary. When booking your flight you might want to consider that we will welcome everybody on Saturday, June 19th at the Yoga Barn around 5pm, followed by a welcome dinner and an evening stroll through Ubud to see a traditional Fire Dance performance. On the 26th the retreat officially ends around 3pm after a big lunch.
start the day with a healthy breakfast and a dip in the pool at your hotel
morning (awakening) Yoga or Pilates class at the Yoga Barn
free time: go for a massage, explore Ubud, take a private class
late morning (power) Yoga or Pilates class at the Yoga Barn
free time: lunch, hang out at the Kafe, rent a bike, rest
private ayurvedic consultation or reformer class, lecture, mini workshop
evening (restoring) Yoga or Pilates class at the Yoga Barn
free time for dinner, connect with people or find time for yourself. There will also be a few optional evening events at the Yoga Barn, such as Kirtans, Movies etc.
